Episode #42: Postpartum Burnout (4 Reminders of Patterns that Caused my Original Crash)

As a new parent, of course, one can expect their life to change on many levels.

I wanted to share a few challenges that have popped up for me in my first year as a new mom because they are challenges that remind me of both my own journey back from hormonal burnout and of many of the challenges so many of our clients here at The Adrenal Recovery Collective face daily.

Even as a coach in this realm, I found myself struggling at times and forgetting about all the tools in my arsenal. I found myself getting caught up in the craziness of new motherhood completely. However, at some point, I was able to sit back, assess and see how a few certain patterns could definitely send me back down the path to burnout if I didn't step back into my power.

So in this episode, I discuss:

  • the challenge of eating when you're tired

  • the challenge of asking for help

  • the challenge of creating space for me-time and joyful hobbies

  • health anxiety and stressing over symptoms and health situations

I provide some tools and resources that really have supported me this first year in hopes that if you are a tired parent or struggling with burnout, adrenal fatigue, or HPA Axis Dysfunction in any capacity, this gives you a few practical ideas to help you feel more empowered, balanced and healthy.

Let me know if you resonate with anything in this episode or if there's anything you'd add to it.

Lots of love to you,
xo Danielle
